Today I want to talk to you about the Parmonìe.
It is 100% made in Italy food. The original recipe uses flour, olive oil, salt and Parmigiano Reggiano DOPaged 24 months.
Unlike many chips that can be found on sale, Parmonìe are a healthy and light food since the sheets are not fried in oil but baked in the oven.
In this way, the olive oil gives the puff pastries a natural crunchiness without making them greasy and heavy to digest.
This attention to a healthy and balanced diet has allowed this snack to win the title of best innovative product during TuttoFood 2015, Sial Shanghai 2015 and Expo Milano 2015.
In addition to the original Parmonìe recipe, in April 2019, a second variant of the product was launched on the market made with chickpea flour, olive oil, salt and parmesan cheese DOP aged 24 months.
This new formulation of the recipe makes this snack high in protein and allows you to satiate more while staying fit, but without causing that unpleasant feeling of heaviness that you get after eating certain types of snacks.
This makes this snack ideal for a break in the office or for children and teenagers who go to school as it does not negatively affect cognitive abilities when there is a need to focus on work or study.
THE HISTORY OF PARMONIE
Towards the end of 2014 Gianluca Menozzi decided to open in Bibbiano, a small town in the province of Reggio Emilia, where parmesan cheese was born 900 years ago, his company, Armonie Alimentari srl, with the mission of promoting in Italy and in the world, typical foods of that area.
The first product baked by the company and which is still their best-selling product today was Parmonìe.
Gianluca's idea was to combine flour, olive oil, salt and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP aged 24 months in a single dough, roll out the pastry into the pans giving it the shape of chips and bake everything in the oven in order to create a genuine product that did not need to use preservatives to be packaged.
Obviously, the high quality of this snack comes from a careful selection of suppliers, a pool of trusted producers, from whom the company purchases the raw materials necessary for the production of Parmonìe.
The result of all this work was so good that, in 2016, Armonie Alimentari srl was recognized as the best startup of the year by the Italian Ministry of Labor in the "CambiaMenti 2016" competition.
Such is the care and love that this family-run business puts into what it does that, in 2017, it also obtained the BRC and IFS certifications for its high safety and quality parameters.
